VACANCY
Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons for the post of Administration Officer with the Folk Research Centre.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Management of the office/secretariat of the Folk Research Centre
- Management of all Folk Research Centre’s finances
- Assisting the Executive Director with the personnel function and supervision of the day-to-day operations of the Centre.
- Assisting in implementing administrative and business policies and procedures.
- Ensuring efficiency in the operations of Folk Research Centre
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- University degree in Business Administration, or related discipline with at least five years work experience at senior management level
- Or Diploma in Business Administration, or related discipline with at least seven years work experience at a senior management level.
- Training in Human resource management
OTHER ATTRIBUTES AND SKILLS
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
- The ability to interact with business contacts, partner agencies and the general public at all levels
- Fluency in the creole language
- Excellent Office management and communications skills
- Involvement in the arts and culture
